Increased Business Opportunities
Nowadays many businesses such as, Tesco, Morrison and Sainsbury's all have developed a virtual shopping website, where they let the customers buy the products they want through the website and then the products get delivered to them. Also if the customer has spent over a certain amount of money the delivery is free, this is good because the customer saves on spending money on the delivery, and the super market makes people spend up to the desired amount so it seems like they have saved. Super markets now make a lot of money from their online shopping sites which increases their profit because people are slowly losing the motivation to go out and buy the products themselves.
Businesses can now create websites on the internet to allow people to view there business online, and with ease. This means that businesses are able to expand easier, and get more customers. However, if something goes wrong with the webpage for the business, then they'll lose people who are interested in buying from them, because the site will be down.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to add to your point Nathan that as well as making online shopping more convenient for the businesses, I believe that consumers benefit significantly from being able to shop online as the don't have to travel out to the shops themselves when they can simply purchase their shopping online and pay with their credit cards.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this comment but, as a cause of businesses having online stores, they do not need the staff in the actual shop. As a result of this unemployment will rise because the staff is not needed in the shop.
ReplyDeleteIn summary I have learn't that increased bussiness oportunities benefit the customer aswell as the business. This is because the customer doesnt need to go out and pick the products themselves, instead can stay in and do their shopping from the comfort of their home. And this also is good for the business as they are hosting to a much wider audience on the internet, and will increase their profits dramatically.
